Leak testing in accordance with Section 5 (2) ChemKlimaschutzV in conjunction with Article 4 (2) of Regulation (EU) No. 2015/2067
The leak test includes (where the system is accessible):
- Visual inspection of pressure, oil level, insulation, wiring harnesses/connections.
- Dismantling of the housing/valve cover.
- General functionality test.
- Inspection for oil residues, water, and moisture indicator (if available).
- Leak detection on the compressor, oil separator, solenoid valves, manual shut-off valves, pipes, and components inside the unit.
- Transfer lines (connections, piping), penetrations on both sides of the system, cold trap (Meissner trap).
- Specialized functionality test for valves and temperature displays.
- Reassembly of the housing and valve cover.
- Inspect and seal/replace insulation as needed.
- Documentation requirements: Verification of the quantity/type of contained fluorinated greenhouse gases, any added or removed amounts, and details of the inspecting company (including certification number, if applicable). Record of the leakage test results (retesting if necessary). Usage documentation.
