Helium Test Leak Calibration
To accurately determine the helium leak rate during a leak test, it is essential to calibrate the helium leak detector within the required measurement range. However, helium test leaks naturally lose a small amount of helium each year, which changes their leak rate over time. Calibration re‑measures the current leak rate to ensure reliable and traceable leak testing results.
Our factory calibration service verifies and documents any deviations in your measuring device. All calibrations are carried out in accordance with the following international standards:
Standards Used
- ISO 19685:2017 – Vacuum technology: Specifications, calibration, and measurement uncertainties for Pirani vacuum gauges
- DIN ISO 3567:2015 – Calibration of vacuum gauges by direct comparison with a reference standard
- ISO 27893:2011 – Vacuum measuring devices: Determination of measurement uncertainty of calibration results
- DIN EN ISO 20486:2018 – Non‑destructive testing: Leak testing – Calibration of reference gas leaks
- DKD‑R‑6‑2 Part 2 – Calibration of measuring instruments for vacuum
Included in the Calibration Process
- Cleaning of the calibration item
- Adjustment and fine‑tuning
- Zero‑point setting
- Documentation of all deviations
Our calibration ensures that your measurement systems deliver precise, dependable, and standards‑compliant performance for all leak testing applications.
